The TREVENTUS Mechatronics GmbH was founded in
February 2006 as a
spin-off of the Vienna University of Technology.
The young company is engaged in the development, production and marketing of
(automated) solutions for the
mass digitization of bound documents (e.g. books, pamphlets, booklets, etc.) and
has already received
several awards for its technological
innovations in this area.
The flagship of TREVENTUS is the
patented book scanner
ScanRobot®
that changed the digitization of bound books fundamentaly.
In 2008 the automatic book scanner
ScanRobot® SR301
was presented. It is the improved follow up product of the
ScanRobot® SR300.
The practical experience with the SR300 was incorporated in the
further development in particular of the book cradle and the capture unit .
By now TREVENTUS has successfully installed more than
30 ScanRobot®
systems worldwide (last update: December 2009)
Thus TREVENTUS is european market leader in automated book
scanning solutions.
At the moment TREVENTUS is
working intensively on further
product development and
improvements in the area of digitization.
